How to Earn the Most Revenue From Chitika's New eMiniMalls
Exactly what you need to know -- along with a free, helpful eMiniMalls tool -- to maximize your eMiniMalls revenue... so you don't unwittingly violate Google AdSense Terms of Service (TOS)
NEW: Chitika's eMiniMalls
Welcome to the first website dedicated to helping you get the most out of Chitika's new eMiniMalls. We created this site because we needed the eMiniMalls Tool we developed to maximize our own eMiniMalls revenue -- and after we created it, we thought other people would find it valuable as well.
eMiniMalls are a very interesting new way to earn more money from your website or blog. In fact, Darren Rowse of ProBlogger says he is now earning almost as much from eMiniMalls on his network of blogs as he is from AdSense (and his AdSense check in August 2005 was over $15,000)!
You can see an example of an eMiniMall ad for Apple's iPod above. It rotates between four different keywords: ipod, ipod nano, ipod shuffle and ipod accessories.
What are eMiniMalls?
eMiniMalls are attractive pay per click interactive ads that you add to your website or blog which include a photo of a product, a description, and comparative shopping info to help your visitor make informed buying decisions. Whenever a visitor clicks, you earn money.
You can sign up for Chitika's new eMiniMalls program here. We were accepted into the program in just a few hours.
How to use Chitika.com's eMiniMalls without violating Google AdSense TOS
eMiniMalls can either be used in the default mode, which are contextual based on the content of your site, or you can specify keywords. If you use the default mode, you cannot use eMiniMalls with Google AdSense -- so if you're using both AdSense and eMiniMalls, it's very important to specify keywords.
We've built a free eMiniMalls Tool that shows you which eMiniMalls ads may be displayed on your site when you select different keywords. You'll discover that very different ads can sometimes appear when you use similar keywords.
This is really useful, because until now, you've had to rely on trial and error to see what Chitika eMiniMall ads would be displayed on your site. Our free tool lets you take the guesswork out of the process.
Rather than repeat the great info about eMiniMalls that's already available, we thought we'd point you to the best articles instead. Check out Darren Rowse's review of eMiniMalls, as well as this site that shows you some tricks of how to add the code to your website so you don't violate Google's TOS. And you can find another excellent article on eMiniMalls on the JenSense blog.
(BTW, there is currently a debate about whether or not you need to delete the search function of eMiniMalls to comply with Google's TOS. We don't believe the answer to this has yet been established.)
What are the downsides of using eMiniMalls? The statistics are still very crude (for example, no channels are available yet). eMiniMalls seem to work best on product sites, so you may have less success if you don't have a product site. And, eMiniMalls look bad on older browsers (like Mac Internet Explorer), so if you have a site that specializes in old Macs, eMiniMalls are probably not for you. eMiniMalls look great on FireFox, Safari, Opera, (Mac and Windows) and Internet Explorer (Windows). (so this won't be a problem for most webmasters).
We think you'll find our free eMiniMalls Tool very useful. We don't want you to miss out on this very exciting new source of revenue for your website.
